Grant Making Policy Additional Information - Church Projects

The Garfield Weston Foundation does not consider funding organisations or groups which are not UK registered charities. This restriction does NOT apply to churches which have exempt status.

Applications from Churches should include a completed application form (click HERE to open the application form as a PDF in a new window) and the following additional information:

1. The church postcode, if applicable.
2. Details of the works/project for which funding is required.
3. A copy of the most recent report and audited accounts.
4. Details of the history of the church, together with photos of the church (if available).
5. The number of people who use the church and information about any groups who use the facilities.
6. Details of local fundraising and any other grants received.

Exempt Organisations

Garfield Weston Foundation policy is that bodies applying for funding should normally be UK registered charities BUT this restriction does not apply to a limited number of EXEMPT organisations - churches, educational establishments, hospitals and housing corporations.
