How to apply for a Grant
Application for funding should be made in writing and must include
a covering letter and a completed application form
to open the application form as an Adobe PDF in a new window), (click HERE
to open the application form as a Microsoft Word DOC)
All applications are also asked to include the following information:
- The charity’s registration number if applicable: Garfield Weston
Foundation policy is that bodies applying for funding should normally
be UK registered charities BUT this restriction does not apply to a
limited number of EXEMPT organisations - churches, educational establishments,
hospitals and housing corporations.
- A copy of the most recent report and audited accounts. Charities
who are required to submit these to the Charity Commission (currently
those with an income or expenditure of more than £10,000) should
provide confirmation that this has been done.
- An outline description of the charity’s activities
- A synopsis of the project requiring funding, with details of who
will benefit
- A financial plan
- Details of current and proposed fundraising
Slightly different
requirements apply to applications from churches –
Completed packs should be sent to the following address:
